Mark Twain's Year

Did you know?

The year 2010 marks the 175th anniversary of Samuel Langhorne Clemence’s (Mark Twain) birth, the 125th anniversary of Twain’s pinnacle work Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and the 100th anniversary of his death.

Various celebrations are listed at Hannibal MO website.

It also means that his autobiography will finally be released. He wrote it over a century ago, with instructions that it wasn't to be released until a hundred years after his death.

I'm eager to read it.

I didn't know that. How fascinating. I wonder who is in charge of that.
